About Dr. Watson
Providing expert medical care for conditions of the Retina is the primary goal of Dr. Watson.
Before starting his own clinic in Alabama, Dr. Watson was a member of the full-time faculty at Harvard Medical School and had a busy a Retina clinic with the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. During this time Dr. Watson and his wife were living far away from their family. They had little children and they decided to move to Alabama to be close to their family. While working in the Northeast Dr. Watson also volunteered at a Veterans Affairs Hospital, where he proudly served the veterans who served this country. Dr. Watson was also a part-time teacher to medical residents at the Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Watson opened his clinic in Alabama with the goal of providing high-quality medical care to those suffering from conditions affecting the Retina. Dr. Watson uses the newest therapies and advanced medical equipment to ensure that you can achieve your best vision possible. Cutting-edge medications are used in Dr. Watson's office to treat diseases of the retina. If your condition requires surgery, Dr. Watson performs advanced retina surgery at the Callahan Eye Hospital. If your condition can be treated in the office with a laser procedure, Dr. Watson has obtained a specific laser system that is highly effective and is significantly more comfortable than conventional laser systems. The office itself is located on the first floor of a small building with lots of parking immediately outside of the clinic doors.
Dr. Watson completed medical school and residency at Tulane University in New Orleans. He completed a Retina Fellowship at West Virginia University.
Outside of the office Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with his wife and children and going on adventures with them in the great outdoors.
